Fair Elections

Sign this petition for the Fair Election Act!!!! The way the election system is now, only people who are rich or who receive campaign donations from the rich and powerful can run for office and have a chance at winning. It’s legalized bribery. Let’s move to change that, so we can get real leaders for our country that represent all of us and not just those that give them money. This is a bi-partisan movement. Countries like France have public funds for all candidates and ensure equal time for television time and debates so all the voices are heard. Although no system is perfect, our system has built in corruption that needs to be changed.

UPDATE: Now you can send an e-mail to Congress to show your support of the “Presidential Funding Act of 2007″

Beyond the World Series, the other global battle taking place in Boston was the conference about Israel-Palestine: The Apartheid Paradigm. It featured Nobel Peace Prize winner Archbishop Desmond Tutu from South Africa and Noam Chomsky, one of the most famous American intellectual activists of our time (often dubbed the conscience of America).
