The man who describes himself is a liar.

As said by one of my students when I asked him to describe himself. Another funny bit: we were talking about physical appearance, and the book suggests to have students describe one another using specific vocabulary, but I quickly realised that all the descriptions were the same since all the men had short dark hair. As for the women, everything is hidden under the black veil, so there’s not much to describe.
That was a short lesson.

See the Doha pictures
Finally we have some time with a working computer and a decent connexion, so we can tell you about our first days here in Yemen.

The suspense for the tickets lasted to the end, as when we got to Charles de Gaulle airport, the Qatar airways representative seemed to have no idea what we were talking about when we asked for the tickets. Eventually someone came up with them, and we got on our flight to Doha, Qatar. (more…)
